Bugs remembering your place

I bought this app for one reason, to keep my place in audio books. Its failed to do this on enough occasions that Im writing this review.

Huh ?

A good application to listen to podcasts my only problem is that I paid for the upgrade over a year ago and its still asking me to upgrade, huh ?

Fail, no chapter support

Really, no chapter support? Cmon!?

The most perfect audiobook and ipod listening app Ive tried!

This app is exactly what Ive been looking for, trying many different free apps and never finding one that worked how I needed it to. I use my iPhone 4s to listen to audiobooks at bedtime, and often fall asleep during their play. This application allows me to set a sleep timer, and even better, to "time warp" back to the spot at which I was at any set time! The 10 second, 1 minute, and 10 minute skip forward and back is also invaluable! I will never use another app to listen to podcasts or audiobooks, so long as these functions continue.

Cant use

Decided to try this app because the older audiobooks I have were imported from a different source and i guess must be labeled as music because I dont see them in here and cant select from music library.

Great App

Really great, listen to your own audiobooks/podcasts in a way that makes sense.

What were they thinking???

This app is supposed to be designed for audiobooks and yet it has LAND MINES (skip forward and backward buttons) on either side of the play button! Press one of those by accident and your position is instantly shifted to an entirely different part of the book. Of course, you can use the back in time feature which remembers your spot at any given date and time (in 5 minute intervals) to roughly restore your position, but this innovation hardly makes up for the colossal screw-up that is skip buttons in an audiobook player.

Doesnt work.

Bought this app to save my place in my audiobooks. The IPhone music player will lose your spot in an audiobook if you play a different file. Though the app claims to keep your place, it only does so accurately about half of the time. Sometimes it takes me an hour or more back and I have to spend a great deal of time finding my place. Though it wad only $3, I feel ripped off and completely dissatisfied with the purchase.

Thank you.

After being frustrated with audiobooks through the music app and after losing my place time and time again. Im very thankful for your app!

No good if you use iTunes Match

It will only open files from your iTunes library, and audio book files are invariably too big for iTunes match, so you are SOL. Crashes too. Time to look elsewhere...

Only app that reliably keeps your place

Downloading iTunes audiobooks on the iPhone results in files that are too big for most 3rd party apps to handle without huge delay, and the Music app loses your place. This app is great, keeps your place, and has a neat feature that lets you select a literal time and date in your past to rewind the book to the point you were listening to then.

Nice app

This does just about everything I need. Five stars for a bookmark/notes function.

Great App

Found this app last night. For the last 4-5 years I listen to audio books to help me fall asleep but like another reviewer said, the update from apple kinda messed that up. This app allows me to listen to the books chapter by chapter remembering where it left off and includes a sleep function to shut itself off. Everything I need! One bonus might be that it continues to count down even if the screen is shut off.

Doesnt keep the place perfectly

It may seem like a small complaint, and it seems like other reviewers dont have this problem. In theory, this app works really well, and often it keeps my place. But every fifth time or so it loads the audiobook at the wrong place. I use this app on my long drive to work, and its really annoying when I plug it into my car in the morning and I immediately realize its in the wrong place. I then have to either listen to the same part over again -- its often an hour or more off on long books -- or try to one-minute skip to about the right place while Im driving. In short, I was really hoping this app would be my audiobook solution, and its good, but often flawed.

This is TRIALWARE

This app is great... for the first few days. Them it interrupts your book constantly with a long winded speech to nag you into buying the app. I uninstalled it on principle!

I use this app daily

It is simple to use. Love the sleep timer feature. Also the ability to go forward and backward by 10 minutes or one minute or even one second is great. Use of the proximity sensor allows the backlight to turn off when phone is face down or in a pocket. It bookmarks which is a "must have"feature for listening to audiobooks!

Highly Recommended for Lectures

I dont often take the time to write a review, but this app has been exactly what I needed as a student. I am listening to lectures that I converted to audiobooks in iTunes, and the ability to rewind 10 seconds, a minute, and ten minutes at a time on this app is perfect. I have sent the author an email, and he has been prompt to reply, so the support is great. The only feature I would love to see is the ability to add bookmarks, but even without that feature, this is the best audiobook player on the App Store that I have found.

Excellent replacement

Better than the garbage podcasts app, this works with the podcasts and audiobooks on your iDevice if you are the type to prefer to manage your podcasts via iTunes.

No chapter support

No chapters -- so its not much better than the iOS music app.

No Good

After updating to ios7, this app has gone bad. Every time I sync my phone, it resets all my books. The reason why I bought this app in the first place was because the itunes app reset after playing something else. I have waited a while for an update, but it doesnt appear to be coming.
